Commercial Overhead Sectional Doors

Trend-setting design elements & exclusive options

In 1952, after acquiring the rights from American inventor Glenn Berry to produce a new type of up-and-over garage door, Hörmann introduced the first up-and-over garage doors to the market, establishing the foundation for the company we know today.

Following the success of the up-and-over garage door, Hörmann pioneered the development of space-saving commercial overhead sectional roll-up doors. In 1976, a new factory was opened in Brockhagen, Germany, marking the beginning of mass production for commercial overhead sectional doors at Hörmann.

Today, Hörmann North America continues the legacy of commercial overhead sectional doors that began in Germany decades ago.

Whether you need pan or sandwich door designs, we offer models to suit your exact specifications. Our innovative features, such as our exclusive polyurethane insulation, FingerGuard™ pinch-resistant section joints, and options like the Galaxy Paint System and special panel coating, reflect the exceptional quality you can always expect from Hörmann.
